Synopsis for the southern california coast and santa barbara channel including the channel islands national marine sanctuary and national park...at 16z...or 9 am pdt...a 1027 mb high was located 600 nm west of pt. Conception. A 992 mb thermal low was in the southern plains. Widespread gale force winds are expected across most coastal waters tonight...and across the outer coastal waters through much of the week. Gale force gusts may affect the western portions of the nearshore waters at times through fri. $$
