White River At Clarendon affecting Arkansas and Monroe Counties

The White River At Newport.
* until Monday evening...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 8:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 26.4 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 27.2 feet by
tomorrow evening. The river will fall below flood stage Sunday
afternoon.
* Impacts at 27.0 feet...State Highway 14 between Newport and Oil
Trough and State Highway 122 to Newark affected. Possible
structural flooding along State Highway 14 in Independence County.
Bateman Levee patrolling begins.

* At 7:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 33.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to near 33.1 feet by
early Friday morning, then fall below 33.0 feet by Sunday morning.
* Impacts at 34.0 feet...Water around or approaching homes and camps
along the river in White and Woodruff counties. Farm roads and
county roads on both sides of the river are flooded.

The Flood Warning continues for
The White River At Georgetown.
* until further notice...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 7:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 25.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise back to near 25.2 feet by
tomorrow evening...then begin to fall once again to a level below
25 feet by Sunday.
* Impacts at 26.0 feet...Backwater up Little Red River floods
bottomland near West Point and Georgetown. Numerous roads and
bridges flooded west of the river. Extensive area of cropland in
White, Woodruff, and Prairie counties flooded. State Highway 36 is
probably flooded and impassable. Georgetown and Nimmo could be
isolated by floodwater. Residents should either leave or have
provisions for a prolonged stay.

* At 7:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 29.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 29.2 feet by
Friday morning.
* Impacts at 30.0 feet...Numerous county roads and bridges inundated.
Many dollars in damages in Prairie County. Extensive farmland and
timberland flooded. Backwater flooding of Wattensaw Bayou and Bayou
Des Arc. Patrolling of Kitty Barnes Levee on East Bank begins.

* At 8:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 30.7 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 31.5 feet by
Sunday morning.
* Impacts at 32.0 feet...State Highway 302 north of Clarendon may be
affected. Some industrial property in Clarendon on river side of
levee may be flooded. Many access problems for recreational
properties downstream of Clarendon. Many downstream areas are
accessable by boat only. Height and duration of flooding along the
lower White River is greatly dependant on the level of the
Mississippi River in combination with the flow rate of the White
River.

to rise to near 27.2 feet by Thursday morning.
* Impacts at 27.0 feet...State Highway 14 between Newport and Oil
Trough and State Highway 122 to Newark affected. Possible
structural flooding along State Highway 14 in Independence County.
Bateman Levee patrolling begins.

* Forecast...The river will remain near 33.0 feet through the end
of the week and into early next week.
* Impacts at 32.0 feet...Thousands of acres of cropland and farm roads
are flooded in White and Woodruff counties. Water is isolating homes
and camps along the river in White and Woodruff counties.

* At 9:00 AM Wednesday the stage was 25.1 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will remain over 25.0 feet for several days.
Additional rainfall is expected at the end of the week. Continue to
monitor latest forecasts for any updates.
* Impacts at 24.0 feet...State Highway 36 to Georgetown may be flooding
due to backwater up Little Red River, especially during locally heavy
rainfall or high White River stage. Levee on north side of the Little
Red River protecting the Bald Knob National Wildlife Refuge, primarily
cropland, may be overtopped.

* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 29.2 feet by
Friday evening. Additional rainfall is expected at the end of the
week. Continue to monitor latest forecasts for any updates.
* Impacts at 24.0 feet...Many acres of farmland flooded within the
levees. Water is backing up Bayou Des Arc and Cypress Bayou.

* Impacts at 32.0 feet...State Highway 302 north of Clarendon may be
