...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas, including the
following areas, in Arkansas, Columbia, Lafayette, and Union.
In Louisiana, Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Caldwell, Claiborne,
De Soto, Grant, Jackson, La Salle, Lincoln, Natchitoches,
Ouachita, Red River, Sabine, Union, Webster, and Winn. In
Texas, Angelina, Cherokee, Gregg, Harrison, Marion,
Nacogdoches, Panola, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, and Shelby.

* Through Friday morning

* Tropical Depression Cindy will continue to provide periods of
locally heavy rainfall. Widespread heavy rainfall of two to four
inches is expected through Friday morning, with isolated higher
amounts of five inches possible.

* Flooding of roads, low lying and poor drainage areas will be
possible. If encountering flooded roadways, remember to turn
around, don't drown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas, including the

De Soto, Grant, Jackson, La Salle, Lincoln, Natchitoches,

Texas, Angelina, Cherokee, Gregg, Harrison, Marion,
Nacogdoches, Panola, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, and Shelby.

* Through Friday morning

* The remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy will move north across
extreme Eastern Texas and Western Louisiana today, before a
gradual shift to the northeast across Northwest Louisiana and
Southern Arkansas tonight through early Friday morning. Periods
of locally heavy rainfall near the center of circulation can be
expected across all these areas. Widespread heavy rainfall of
two to four inches is expected through Friday morning, with
isolated higher amounts of six to eight inches possible mainly
across portions of extreme Eastern Texas, Northwest Louisiana,
and South Central Arkansas.

* Flooding of roads, low lying and poor drainage areas will be
possible. If encountering flooded roadways, remember to turn
around, don't drown.
