The Oostanaula River near Resaca.
* Until Wednesday morning.
* At 10 PM Friday the stage was 25.6 feet...and rising slowly.
* Minor flooding will continue.
* Flood stage is 22 feet.
* The river will continue rising to near 27.0 feet by Saturday
evening. The river will fall below flood stage Wednesday morning.
* At 28 feet...Moderate flooding begins. Significant flooding will
expand further into the woodlands...fields and pastures along the
river upstream and downstream from the gage on U S Highway 41 or
Battlefield Parkway.

* Until further notice.
* At 10 PM Friday the stage was 27.4 feet...and rising slowly.
* Minor flooding will continue.
* Flood stage is 21 feet.
* At 27 feet...Minor flooding continues to expand further into the
woodlands...fields and pastures upstream and downstream from the
gage behind the water treatment plant off Mauldin Road. A boat ramp
and small parking lot on the upstream and right bank side of the
Georgia Highway 136 Connector will be under at least 6 feet of
water.

The parking lot of the Mohawk Home Industries complex begins to
flood. Athletic fields at the recreation center upstream on the
right bank become flooded.

* The river will continue rising to near 29.7 feet by just after midnight.
The river will fall below flood stage late Sunday morning.
* At 30 feet...Moderate flooding expands. Water enters Georgia
Power Maintenance Yard at Etowah River.

The Coosa River near Rome Mayos Bar L & D Park.
* Until further notice.
* At 10 PM Friday the stage was 32.1 feet...and rising.
* Moderate flooding will continue.
* Flood stage is 24 feet.
* At 33 feet...Significant flooding continues to expand further
into the woodlands...fields and pastures along the river upstream
and downstream from the gage on the old Lock and Dam behind the
Trading Post. The old Lock and Dam structure will be under 4 feet
of water. Flood waters around one foot deep will cover a large
portion of the parking lot...a picnic table pavilion and campground
areas. A home off of Blacks Bluff Road will be surrounded by flood
waters.

The Coosa River near Plant Hammond.
* Until further notice.
* At 8 PM Friday the stage was 578.3 feet...and rising.
* Moderate flooding will continue.
* Flood stage is 570 feet.
* At 579 feet...Major flooding begins upstream and downstream from
the gage behind Plant Hammond. The access road near the intakes
behind the plant will be under 6 feet of water. The boat ramp near
the intakes and a small portion of an access road near and under
the Georgia Highway 100 bridge will be under 9 feet of water. The
flood waters will reach the foundation of a power supply building
for intakes to a pulp mill plant just upstream from the gage. Cabin
Creek between the two plants will begin to back up and flood.
