The Flood Warning continues for
The Oconee River near Penfield.
* Until Sunday morning.
* At 8 PM Thursday the stage was 13.1 feet...and rising.
* Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Flood stage is 13 feet.
* The river will continue rising to near 14.2 feet by early Saturday
morning. The river will fall below flood stage Sunday morning.
* At 15 feet...Minor flooding continues to expand into fields...
woodlands and pastures...mainly on the right bank of the river...
upstream and downstream from the gage on the Georgia Highway 15
bridge.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Dense
Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 10 AM EST Friday.

* VISIBILITIES...A quarter mile or less.

* TIMING...Through 10 AM Friday.

* IMPACTS...Limited visibilities will make travel hazardous at
times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving...slow down...
use your headlights...and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

.Recent heavy rainfall has caused significant runoff into streams and
rivers which will cause flooding in some areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts...and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property.

The latest stage data was furnished in cooperation with the United
States Geological Survey.

* From late tonight until late Sunday night.
* At 2PM Thursday the stage was 12.5 feet...and
rising
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage after midnight tomorrow and
continue to rise to near 15.4 feet by Saturday evening.The river
will fall below flood stage by Sunday evening.
* At 15 feet...Minor flooding continues to expand into fields...
