...Icy Roads and Very Slick Travel Reported Across the Area...

.Very slick travel conditions are being reported across the area
this morning due to overnight freezing rain and cold road
temperatures. Several accidents have been reported. While
additional freezing rain this morning is expected to be light,
travel conditions will remain quite hazardous in many areas, with
untreated roadways a sheet of ice in many areas. If you must
travel this morning, be prepared for a very slow commute and give
yourself plenty of extra time to safely reach your destination.

EVENING...

* WHAT...Some light additional freezing rain possible, but roads
remains ice covered and very slick. Additional ice accumulation
of a glaze is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, north central and west central
Wisconsin, northeast Iowa and southeast Minnesota.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM CST this evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The ice will result in very slippery
conditions on sidewalks, roads and bridges, including during
the morning commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads.
Slow down and use caution while driving. The latest road

the area through sunrise. Many roads are already reported to be
ice-covered and very slick where temperatures have fallen below
freezing, and additional precipitation will only add to the
hazardous conditions. If you must travel this morning, use extreme
caution and take it very slow.
