...Periods of Freezing Rain Developing Today...

.Several rounds of precipitation will impact the area today
through Tuesday, as temperatures gradually cool below freezing.
As that cooling occurs, rain initially will transition to freezing
rain, with hazardous travel expected to develop from north to
south as temperatures drop below freezing through tonight. Ice
accumulation through this evening will range from from little to
nothing south of Interstate 90 where warmer temperatures are
expected, to as much as two-tenths of an inch farther north.
Additional ice accumulation tonight into Tuesday will range from
one to two-tenths of an inch, highest near and south of Interstate
90.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO
6 PM CST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Periods of rain today, with a change to freezing rain
expected. Total ice accumulation of one to two-tenths of an
inch is expected, but total ice amounts will depend on how fast
temperatures drop below freezing tonight.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest Wisconsin and northeast Iowa.

* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 6 PM CST Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Some power outages and tree damage are
possible due to the ice. Hazardous travel expected where
freezing rain occurs, especially during the morning commute
Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads.
Slow down and use caution while driving. The latest road
