...Dense Fog This Morning...

.Light winds and abundant low level moisture has allowed dense fog
to become widespread over portions of eastern Iowa and northwest
Illinois early this morning. Very low visibilities will result in
hazardous driving conditions for the morning commute. The dense
fog is expected to lift around mid morning.

...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a Dense
Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 9 AM CDT this morning.

* Visibilities...Less than one quarter of a mile. Localized
visibilities near zero are possible.

* Timing...Through 9 AM.

* Impacts...Poor and rapidly changing visibilities in areas of
dense fog will make travel hazardous

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use
your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
