.A rapidly intensifying storm system will track into eastern Iowa
and then to the Great Lakes this weekend. As the cyclone pushes
northeast of the area, very strong northwest winds gusting to
around 55 mph can be expected by late evening. The winds will
diminish late Sunday evening.

.A wintry mix of freezing rain and sleet will develop along and
north of Interstate 80 after midnight where temperatures as of 8
PM are near freezing. Ice accumulations of one to two tenths of
an inch are expected along the Highway 20 corridor, with trace
amounts of ice south through Interstate 80. Sleet accumulations
will be minor. Temperatures rising through the night into
Saturday morning will change the precipitation over to all rain,
as this happens portions of this advisory from south to north may
be cancelled.
