The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southeastern Hancock County in west central Illinois...
McDonough County in west central Illinois...

* Until 600 AM CDT Sunday.

* At 958 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to one inch of rain has
already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Macomb, Bushnell, Colchester, Blandinsville, Augusta, Industry,
Good Hope, Bardolph, Tennessee, Sciota, Western Illinois
University, Adair, Fandon, New Philadelphia, Colmar, Plymouth,
Pennington Point, Macomb Municipal Airport, Doddsville and
Scottsburg.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in
the warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 PM CDT
FOR SOUTHEASTERN HANCOCK AND MCDONOUGH COUNTIES...

At 950 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Fandon, or 11
miles south of Macomb, moving east at 65 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Law enforcement. At 935 PM CDT a 59 mph wind gust was
reported at Plymouth by the fire department.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Macomb, Bushnell, Colchester, Blandinsville, Augusta, Bowen,
Industry, Good Hope, Prairie City, Bardolph, Tennessee, Sciota,
Western Illinois University, Fandon, New Philadelphia, Colmar, Adair,

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of Illinois, Iowa, and northeast Missouri, including
the following areas, in Illinois, Bureau, Hancock, Henderson,
Henry IL, McDonough, Mercer, Putnam, Rock Island, and Warren.
In Iowa, Des Moines, Henry IA, Jefferson, Keokuk, Lee, Louisa,
Muscatine, Scott, Van Buren, and Washington. In northeast
Missouri, Clark and Scotland.

* Through Sunday morning

* Thunderstorms with heavy rainfall are possible. This may lead
to flash flooding as soils are saturated in the region.

* Flash flooding is possible especially in urban areas and along
small creeks and streams. In addition, the heavy rain may also
lead to further rises on rivers that are already flooding.
