EVENING TO 6 AM CST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of
one to two inches, and ice accumulations of a light glaze
expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Illinois.

* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 6 AM CST Wednesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery

...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following waterways
in Indiana...

East Fork White River...Muscatatuck River...Wabash River...White
River...


.Flooding continues along portions of major rivers in west central,
southwest, and south central Indiana, with moderate flooding
occurring on the Wabash river at Mount Carmel. Precipitation
coming mid-week largely is not expected to bring new flooding
to the East Fork White, Muscatatuck, Wabash, and White Rivers.
Minor rises are expected however that will prolong elevated river
levels.

Flooding along the East Fork White River is anticipated to end
Wednesday and stay below flood stage for the foreseeable future.
Flooding will end Wednesday for Montezuma and Terre Haute on the
Wabash River, but water levels will stay close to flood stage the
rest of the week. Flooding will continue on the White River at
Petersburg and Hazleton until the end of the month or into March
based on current projections.

Flooding is affecting local and state roads, a small number of
cabins, and considerable agricultural land...all mainly in southwest
Indiana.


Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river
conditions.

* At 8:45 PM Monday the stage was 14.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...It will continue to fall to below flood stage by late
tonight.
* At 14.0 feet...Several hundred acres of bottomlands along the right
bank from the mouth of Sugar Creek to northern edge of Montezuma
begin to flood.

* until Saturday evening.
* At 9:30 PM Monday the stage was 17.3 feet. This is 2.0 to 2.5 feet
higher than the observations from the old legacy gauge.
* Flood stage is 16.5 feet. This is 2.5 feet higher than flood stage
from the old legacy gauge.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...It will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Saturday morning.
* At 17.5 feet...A few sloughs and a drainage have water in them in
the vicinity of SR 63 on the west side of the Wabash River.

The Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site.
* until Sunday morning.
* There have been no observations in the last 24 hours.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...It is forecast to crest at 19.1 feet late tonight and
will fall below flood stage by Saturday evening.
* At 20.0 feet...Leaverton Park in Palestine and park in Hutsonville
begin to flood. Agricultural flooding spreads to higher land.
Seep water is noticeable behind levees. Some elevated river
cottages are surrounded by water. Several county or township roads
east of Lincoln Heritage Trail between Palestine and Hutsonville in
Crawford County Illinois are impassable.

* At 18.5 feet...High water surrounds elevated river cabins. County
roads to these cabins are impassable. Agricultural flooding is in
progress. Seep water develops behind levees.

The Wabash River at Vincennes.
* until Thursday morning.
* At 9:45 PM Monday the stage was 17.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...It will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Wednesday evening.
* At 17.0 feet...Considerable agricultural flooding extends from just
north of the junction of Illinois 33 with Business 50 to the St.
Francesville, Illinois area. River Road from Lincoln Memorial
Bridge to Billett Rd is impassable. Extensive seep water forms
behind Illinois levees extending from Russellville to U.S. Highway
50. Flooding of agricultural land begins in Knox County Indiana
west of the railroad extending for the Oaktown area to the north
side of Vincennes. Extensive flooding of Small Creek.

The Wabash River at Mount Carmel.
* until Tuesday February 26.
* At 7:45 PM Monday the stage was 26.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...It will continue to fall to below flood stage by Tuesday
February 26.
* At 26.7 feet...Wilson Road, a north-south road in Knox County near
the confluence of the White and Wabash Rivers, is flooded in the
Little Rock area in 2 or 3 places. One location the water is too
deep for vehicles. Extensive agricultural flooding progress in
areas that are not protected by levees. Three Illinois township
roads south of Illinois 1 between Keensburg and Grayville are
flooded for a total of 10 miles. Access to oil fields in the
Keensburg and Grayville are blocked by high water.

* until late Tuesday night.
* At 9:30 PM Monday the stage was 21.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...It will continue to fall to below flood stage by Tuesday
afternoon.
* At 22.0 feet...A few local county roads begin to flood and are
impassable. These include Buddha Road south of the gage and
Lawrenceport Road. All local roads across the East Fork of the
White River are threatened by high water, and some are closed.
Flooding of agricultural lands in Lawrence County is in progress.

then begin falling. It will fall below flood stage Tuesday February

* At 15.0 feet...Flooding of low agricultural fields begin. Daviess
CR 375 WN and North River Rd in Knox County located inside the
levees are flooded.

* At 9:30 PM Monday the stage was 23.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...It will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Wednesday February 27.
* At 23.5 feet...Water from the Great June 2008 Flood recedes from SR
257 south of Washington. The river stage at Shoals was less than
10 feet and less than 14 feet previous day. The Lost River was
low...except for backwater from the East Fork White...during this
entire flood event.

* Forecast...It is forecast to crest at 23.9 feet late tonight.

damage from June through August. Some river cabin residents
evacuate. Most local roads flood. Several oil fields are
inaccessible.
