...Threat for Freezing Rain Tonight into Tuesday...

.A band of freezing rain may develop over portions of north
central and northeast Kansas tonight and persist into Tuesday.
There is some uncertainty in total ice accumulation amounts, but
confidence is increasing that areas in the advisory will see
impacts from freezing rain. This advisory only covers the
locations that have the highest potential of seeing freezing rain.
Areas to the south and east could also see impacts due to
freezing rain, but confidence in amounts is lower. Therefore, look
for additional updates to the coverage of the advisory leading up
to the event.

NOON CST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulations of up to
two tenths of an inch are possible.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Kansas.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to noon CST Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The ice will result in difficult travel
conditions, including during the morning commute on Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads.
