EVENING...

* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations of up to one inch.
Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas and central, east
central, south central, southwest and west central Missouri.
Highest snowfall totals will occur east of Springfield.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM CST this evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The Department of Transportation is
reporting that roads are becoming icy and snow covered.
Additionally, falling snow and gusty winds are reducing
visibility to less than a half mile at times, especially from
the Springfield metropolitan area to the Table Rock Lake
region, east into the Houston and Gainesville areas.

SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of a dusting to
2 inches expected. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas and central, east
central, south central, southwest and west central Missouri.
Highest snowfall totals will occur in central Missouri, or
locations northeast of Springfield.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 6 PM CST Saturday. The
majority of the snowfall will occur Saturday morning with snow
tapering off from west to east Saturday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions during
the day Saturday as temperatures rapidly drop into the 20s
once the snow starts. Visibilities could be reduced in the
snow due to very gusty winds.
