The Flood Warning continues for
The Mississippi River Near Arkansas City
* from Wednesday morning to Wednesday March 13.
* At 7:00 PM Monday the stage was 36.6 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 37.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage Wednesday February
20 and will continue to rise to near 41.0 feet Monday March 04.
* Impact...At 41.0 feet...River cuts off access to the Oakley Grain at
Yellow Bend.
* Impact...At 40.0 feet...The low silt plain in front of Arkansas City
and Huntington Point Mississippi is underwater. Several river
access roads are also impassable.
* Impact...At 37.0 feet...The low silt plain in front of arkansas city
inside the levee system begins to flood along with widespread
bottomland flooding at huntington point mississippi.

* until Friday March 15.
* At 7:00 PM Monday the stage was 48.3 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 48.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 53.0 feet Tuesday
March 05.
* Impact...At 51.5 feet...Greenville boat store is inoperable for
towboat supplies.
* Impact...At 50.0 feet...Upper Lake Ferguson Road and Warfield Point
Park are closed.
* Impact...At 48.0 feet...Water begins to cover the dirt road leading
to the Farmers Grain terminal facility which is north of the
Greenville bridge.

* until further notice.
* At 7:00 PM Monday the stage was 43.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 43.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 48.0 feet
Thursday March 07.
* Impact...At 48.0 feet...Culverts in South Vicksburg west of Highway
61 South are full. Low lying businesses near the railroad begin to
take on water.
* Impact...At 47.8 feet...Vicksburg Floodwall Gate at Clay Street is
closed.
* Impact...At 46.8 feet...LeTourneau Technologies experiences flooding
problems. Vicksburg Floodwallgate number 7 at lumber yard is
closed.
* Impact...At 46.5 feet...Portions of Highway 465, Eagle Lake Road and
several houses are underwater. Portions of Letourneau Road in South
Vicksburg are flooded.
* Impact...At 46.0 feet...Water level reaches the grain bins at the
Bunge Grain facility.
* Impact...At 45.2 feet...Vicksburg Floodwall Gate at South Street is
closed.
* Impact...At 45.0 feet...Ford and Kings Subdivision at Williams
Street begin to flood.
* Impact...At 44.6 feet...Residence on Williams Street in Vicksburg
begins to flood.
* Impact...At 44.0 feet...Ford and Kings Subdivision at Pittman Road
and Mary's Alley begins to flood.
* Impact...At 43.5 feet...Long Lake Subdivision is completely flooded.
Vicksburg Floodwall gates at train depot and the lumber yard gate 8
are closed.
* Impact...At 43.0 feet...Jackson Lane in North Vicksburg begins to
flood.

* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 48.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 54.5 feet
Saturday March 09.
* Impact...At 55.0 feet...Pond Road in Fort Adams is flooded. Eight to
eleven homes are under water in the township.
* Impact...At 53.0 feet...Some camps and houses are flooded around
Fort Adams.
* Impact...At 51.0 feet...Water is covering the roads in old downtown
area of Fort Adams.

* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 37.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage Wednesday February
20 and will continue to rise to near 41.0 feet Monday March 04.
* Impact...At 41.0 feet...River cuts off access to the Oakley Grain at
