...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM PST THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Snow and blowing snow expected.

* WHERE...Portions of north central, northeast and south central
Nevada. Valleys expected to receive the highest snow amounts
will be in northern Elko County. Mountain ranges such as
Jarbidge, Independence, Ruby, East Humboldt, Pinon, and
Toiyabe will get the most snow.

* WHEN...Through 4 PM PST today. Most snow will fall this
morning, tapering off midday. The strongest wind gusts will be
this afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The
hazardous conditions will impact the morning commute. The snow
is expected to be wet, which could freeze on roads and bring
down some tree branches. Blowing snow will be an additional
hazard for travel.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads
and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PST THIS EVENING...

* TIMING...Starting this morning and lasting into the evening.
Strongest winds will be this afternoon.

* WINDS...Valley wind gusts will range from 40 to 50 mph.
Northeast Nye County and northeast Elko County could see wind
gusts around 55 mph.

* IMPACTS...Expect travel issues. High profile vehicles such as
semis, trailers, motor homes, and towed vehicles will have a
challenging to dangerous experience. In areas with rain or
mixed precipitation, visibility will be impacted. In areas
with snow, blowing snow will reduce visibility and possibly
drift across roads.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A wind advisory means that sustained winds of 30 mph with gusts
in excess of 45 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make
driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use
