...HEAT ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 7 PM
EDT THIS EVENING...

* HEAT INDEX VALUES...Up to 107 due to temperatures in the mid to
upper 90s, and dewpoints in the mid to upper 70s.

* IMPACTS...The heat and humidity may cause heat stress during
outdoor exertion or extended exposure.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Heat Advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity
will create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible.

If outdoors, drink plenty of fluids to stay well hydrated and
wear light weight and light colored clothing. It's also
recommended to take occasional to frequent rest breaks in shaded
or an air conditioned environment. In addition, be sure to check
on those who are most vulnerable to the heat such as young
children and the elderly.

Ensure all outdoor pets and livestock have access to fresh water
and a well ventilated and shaded area during the hottest portions
of the day. NEVER leave children or pets in a closed up vehicle,
temperatures could reach 120 degrees in a manner of minutes.
