* Flood Advisory for...
Southwestern Florence County in northeastern South Carolina...
Northwestern Williamsburg County in northeastern South Carolina...

* Until 200 AM EDT.

* At 1058 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lake City, Pamplico, Hyman, Hannah, Cades, Hebron, Friendfield, New
Hope, Evergreen, Scranton, Coward, Olanta, Central Crossroads and
Lake City Community Hospital.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

river requiring the movement of farm equipment to higher ground.

* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tomorrow evening and continue to rise to
near 11.4 feet by early Wednesday morning.
* Impact...At 11.5 feet...Floodwaters begin to affect roads in Alligator Lake
subdivision. Flooding worsens in the River Bend and River Birch subdivisions
and along Croomsbridge Road and Old Maple Hill Road.

The Lumber Near Lumberton.

* At 8:54 PM Friday the stage was 16.22 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 16.5 feet by tomorrow
morning then begin falling.
* Impact...At 17.0 feet...Flooding worsens west of Interstate 95 and water may
begin surrounding homes in the Pines and Coxs Pond areas. Homes off River Road
may become isolated by flood waters. Water may also affect yards off
Planetarium Road and fields off deep Branch Road. East of Lumberton, the
lowest homes in the Pines area may be flooded and homes may be surrounded by
water in the Pines area and between the Pepsi plant and the river. Chickenfoot
Road, Noir Street and Hestertown Road may be impassable.

community located near Nichols. Flood waters will begin to affect some homes
at Fork Retch. Swampland flooding will increase.

* Impact...At 12.0 feet...Flooding will worsen in the Lees Landing, Riverfront
South, Pitch Landing and Savannah Bluff communities. Flood waters will begin
to affect homes north of Conway on Riverside Drive. Swamps will be heavily
flooded.

farm land along the river. Access roads may be damaged by the flood waters and
operations at industrial plants along the river will be affected.
