Obion River...S.F. of the Forked Deer River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

and Lakes.

Do not drive through flooded areas...turn around don't drown.

* until further notice.
* At 11 AM Thursday the stage was 36.1 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 37.5 feet on Monday February 25.
* Flood stage is 34.0 feet.
* The river rose above flood stage and will continue rising to near
37.5 feet by Monday February 25 then begin falling.
* At 38.0 feet...Rives is flooding and most farm land near the the
river is flooding.

the Obion River near Bogota
* until further notice.
* At 11 AM Thursday the stage was 23.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 24.5 feet on Monday February 25.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* The river rose above flood stage Thursday February 21 and will
continue rising to near 24.5 feet by Monday February 25 then
begin falling.
* At 25.0 feet...Highway 103 near Miston is covered by flood waters.
Water is flooding a few homes in Bogota on the east side of Highway
78. Water is covering some secondary roads near the Obion River.

* At 11 AM Thursday the stage was 22.8 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring AND Minor flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 23.1 feet on Saturday February 23.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* The river rose above flood stage and will continue rising to near
23.0 feet by Saturday February 23 then begin falling.
* At 23.0 feet...Most low lying areas south and southeast of
dyersburg are flooding. Water is beginning to flow over bean mill
road in southeast dyersburg

* until further notice.
* At 11 AM Thursday the stage was 11.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 12.5 feet on Saturday February 23.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* The river rose above flood stage and will continue rising to near
12.5 feet by Saturday February 23 then begin falling.
* At 12.5 feet...Water is flowing over Highway 210 north of Halls.
Several low lying roads near the South Fork of the Forked Deer
River are flooded.

...Heavy Rainfall and Flash Flooding Possible Through Saturday
Evening...

.A warm front will lift north across the Mid-South through Friday.
This front will interact with abundant moisture and several upper-
level disturbances today through Saturday evening. As a result,
the Mid-South will experience multiple rounds of heavy rainfall
over the next several days. Another 2 to 4 inches of rain is
expected, with isolated higher amounts. Heavy rainfall on top of
already saturated ground and swollen rivers and creeks will likely
cause additional flash flooding.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON CST TODAY
THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of East Arkansas, North Mississippi, and West
Tennessee, including the following areas, in East Arkansas,
Crittenden, Cross, Lee, Phillips, and St. Francis. In North
Mississippi, Alcorn, Benton, Calhoun, Chickasaw, Coahoma,
DeSoto, Itawamba, Lafayette, Lee, Marshall, Monroe, Panola,
Pontotoc, Prentiss, Quitman, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tippah,
Tishomingo, Tunica, Union, and Yalobusha. In West Tennessee,
Benton, Carroll, Chester, Crockett, Decatur, Fayette, Gibson,
Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Madison, McNairy,
Shelby, and Tipton.

* From noon CST today through Saturday evening

* An additional 2 to 4 inches of rainfall is expected across the
watch area with isolated higher amounts.

* Street flooding will be a hazard for motorists. Low-lying and
poor drainage areas will be at risk for flash flooding, as
well as small streams.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
